05 Oct Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust collaborate with us to provide humanitarian support on the ground in Nepal
Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust CIO and Child Rescue Nepal, both UK registered charities, are collaborating to provide humanitarian support on the ground in Nepal in the aftermath of the floods that wreaked havoc, destroying infrastructure and taking lives in the region.
Jeff Sissons, trustee of Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust CIO, commented, “Ramble Worldwide has operated many walking tours to this area over a long period of time and although we wish the circumstances were different we are proud to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with Child Rescue Nepal to provide support at this time.”
Child Rescue Nepal’s main purpose is to rescue trafficked children trapped in the most appalling conditions and working with multiple agencies on the ground to provide the children with support needed to rebuild their lives.
Chair of Child Rescue Nepal, David Westgate, said “Every penny donated via Child Rescue Nepal will be used to support vulnerable people on the ground. In the short-term we are providing emergency support including food, water, medical supplies and solar lights. The contribution by Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust will help hundreds of families and children in the weeks and months to come. We also know that in the longer term the devastation and loss of life will mean that more children will be left without families and vulnerable to trafficking, and we will continue our efforts to make them safe.”
